Procedure or Outline

• Each student does three of the four Units, Chemistry, Motion & Ecology. You will NOT do the Weather Unit.
  Each selected component must consist of:
  1. a set of 10 multiple choice questions for each unit selected.
  2. 10 fill in the blank questions that are not just a rewording of the multiple choice questions, agin 10 for each unit selected.
  3. 3 written response questions which may include diagrams. These question should be of the application variety; not just a question demanding a statement of a fact such as a definition of a term.
  4. A crossword puzzle with a solution. Must have at least 16 words. (Not a word search) Go to Puzzlemaker.com and follow the instructions or any other similar program. A puzzle for each unit covered.
  5. A full answer sheet must be provided for all sections.

If anything looks the same between individuals marks will be divided between the individuals. Assignments will be closely looked at.

Total marks will be 35; one per multiple choice and one per fill in. Three marks per written response with a mark value based on the degree of difficulty. Six marks for the crossword puzzle.
An addition communication mark will be assigned for neatness, grammar, spelling, use of correct scientific terms, and level of syntax.
Giving a total of 40 marks, but remember that this goes into a specific category. This assignment counts as 15% of your final mark. It is tabulated in the exam category of your marking categories.
Due date for this is June 12 so that it can be marked and returned to you the next week.
