  1. An empty graduated cylinder has mass of 145.65 g. When 76.43 ml of a fluid is added the mass now becomes 238.07 g. Determine the density of this fluid.
  2. A certain cake recipe requires 200 g Canola oil. When attempting to make this cake I discover that I don't have a balance to weigh out the Canola oil. But I do have a measuring cup and found that the density of Canola oil is 0.87 g/mL. Explain how I resolve the problem that I don't have a balance, so that I can make this cake.
