Procedure or Outline Revised Jan 2008
Part #1
- Each person (may be done in pairs) must create an exam based on the five strands studied in this course.
- Each component must consist of
- 10 multiple choice questions.
- 10 fill in the blank questions that are not just a rewording of the multiple choice questions
- 3 written response questions which may include diagrams. The questions must be completely different from each other. If you are not sure what this means ask.
- A crossword puzzle with at least 15 words in it. A solution is required.
- A full answer sheet must be provided.
Part #2
- To be done on your own.
- On a piece of paper, divide it into four sections, two per side.
- Make a short summary of the strand
If anything looks the same between individuals, marks will be divided between the students. Assignments will be closely looked at.
If questions appear to be copied from the text book you will not get any credit for them.
Total marks will be 35; one per multiple choice and one per fill in. Three marks per written response with a mark value based on the degree of difficulty and 6 marks for the puzzle.
An addition communication mark will be assigned for neatness, grammar, spelling, use of correct scientific terms, and level of syntax.
This assignment counts as 10% of your final mark. It is tabulated in the exam category of your marking categories.
Due date for this is Jan 14 2008.
