OFF-LINE GPS TRACKING SYSTEM

 It will consist of the following components.

     A)  Off-Line GPS Tracker.

B)  Vehicle Tracking Software.

 A)    Off-Line GPS Tracker:  The off-line GPS tracker main Function is on-board logging of vehicle position and status. The unit hardware includes 1 MB of non-volatile flash memory that allows for storage of 58000+ position records. The logging of the records is configurable by means of time and distances.

Specifications:

B) Vehicle Tracking Software - The tracking software should be able to provide the display and analyze the recorded data. The software should provide for the replay of the stored data on a digital map.

It should consist of following modules: 

(i)   GIS

(ii) Database & Reports

(iii) Communication

(i) GIS 

The GIS should have following features.

Map:

  1. Ability to draw a POINT MAP based on latitude\longitude of track points and adds their attributes on a blank white board. The lat\long of track points will be collected manually through a GARMIN handheld GPS receiver or via the off-line GPS tracker.
  2. Ability to draw a Mimic diagram based on pre-defined track points of site. The paper mimic diagram with Latitude\longitude of the track points recorded by a Garmin gps receiver will be supplied to the party.
  3. Edit map utility – The utility should be able to add, delete, modify map points in the existing map. Besides, the map utility should be able to create a new point based map.

Tracking: 

  1. Real time tracking of the vehicle on screen from the recorded data. Moving vehicle in green, stationary vehicle in red. Trace path of vehicle – between two dates.
  2. Display of tracking details of each vehicle such as current vehicle speed, current vehicle moving direction, current location with reference to a map point, status of tracking such as vehicle stopped, vehicle running etc.
  3. Trip Replay of the vehicle that plots the route taken by the vehicle on the map between two dates\time.
  4. Play back of a vehicle log with adjustable replay speed.

Other 

  1. Zoom in/out, zoom by window, panning, go to previous view on the Map, print.
  2. Customized zoom option to store defined zoomed portion of a map for later view.
  3. Single interface for map display and other actions
  4. Export facility for report in text/excel format.

(ii) Database & Reports 

The data collected by the offline GPS tracker should be stored in a database for analysis and reports. It should have the following features. 

 The software should be able to identify & analyze the following points.

      a) Trip start point to destination 1 and back

      b) Trip start point to destination 2 and back

c)      Trip start point to destination 3 and back

d)      Trip start point to destination 4 and back

e)      Trip start point to destination 5 and back

In all case, the trip start point remains the same but the destination changes

1.      The Number of GPS offline units may vary from two to five depending on the final cost of the total system.

2.      For Optional items the party may or may NOT quote.

3.      The party has to give a complete demo of the system at their works before delivery of the system.

4.      Warranty : One Year.

5.      The system design should be such that the equipment should work at site without any help from vendor.
