What could be better than a 13 second Probe GT.....
A 13 second PGT that rocks.....
The source for Eddie's system is a Pioneer DEH-8200 that also controls a 6-disc changer.
Front stage is handled by a plethora of MB Quart speakers. As seen in the door panel photo above, (2) 6" midbass drivers, (1) 4" midrange, and (1) tweeter per door. A single 4" Boston Acoustic full range mid acts a center channel to bridge the sound gap across the Probe's wide dashboard. For just the right amount of ambience, a set MB Quart 6.5" coaxials are used for rear fill.
The crossovers for the doors have been upgraded to the MB Quart Competition Series. A Coustic XM-5e electronic crossover is used to divvy up the remaining frequencies. It is also used to tweak the center channel, as well as the sub through the use of dedicated gains for each.
Speaking of woofers, the bass frequencies are handled by a single 8" Kicker Competition subwoofer in a sealed tube.
These are responsible for powering the entire system. All three amps are Power Logic by Coustic. The 360U is running bridged mono to the Kicker sub, the 268U is powering all of the MB Quart speakers, and the 160U is dedicated solely to the center channel.
Eddie says that he will be taking some more photos, so hopefully I can get a few more! If you have any questions about his Probe, you can e-mail him directly.
