Oil Supply and Drain Connections

TEE for oil supplyThe oil supply and drain line connections are very simple.  I originally had wanted to use the block tap, however after many attempts by myself and others, we were unable to get the plug out, so I went ahead and used the TEE inline with the oil pressure sending unit.

The sending unit is threaded into the block just above the oil filter.  Remove the oil pressure sending unit, install a brass TEE into the block.  Thread the sending unit on the opposite side and the oil supply line in between.

Oil fittingsFrom the TEE, the supply line (6AN braided) runs to the supply fitting on top of the center section of the turbo.

The oil drains back to the oil pan from the bottom of the center section.  The oil drain line is 1/2" ID to allow enough flow to not cause the oil to back up into the housings.  The drain line is carefully routed around the collectors, downpipe, and headers to reach the oil pan tap.  The area of the line around the exhaust pipes is covered with Aeroquip fire proof sheath to eliminate any possible melting.  The line connects to the pan with a 1/2" barb to 5/8 NPT fitting.
