Running Linux from CD-Rom
Updated January 31, 2002
Created May 1, 2001
This page brings together several links which discuss running Linux from CD-Rom. You will find other links on this page that don't directly discuss booting Linux from CD-Rom; however, I feel that they add useful information as well. As I actually do these steps I will update this page with my findings.
Check this one out. Looks very promising:
Root over nfs clients & server Howto: See Section 5
Maragda - really good page, but seems to be down right now. Also showed up in Linux Journal - March 2001 (issue #83) in one of the columns. I put in a request to the owner of the page (5/1/2001). I have a hardcopy I could retype back in, but I hope the site comes back up first.
New website for maragda: http://www.iti.upv.es/~maragda Faster, reliable, and always on line. It includes a new version of maragda, this time based on debian 2.2r2 (potato).
