Drawing, Building, and Thinking

Continuation of PROJECT 1B (Individual) :
Designing and building a sensorial device in concrete and complementary materials.

DATE ISSUED: Monday 04 January 2005
DUE DATE: Monday 07 February 2005, at 9:00 a.m., Room TBA

The sensory device is under way. Its particular aspects, now analyzed and reinterpreted in the short exercise for this week, will lead to the development and construction of the device in the following three weeks.

For Monday 24 January each member of the studio will develop a whole set of freehand drawings at pertinent scales ranging from 1:1 to 1:20, which thorough describe the device. The drawwings should be developed in a series of tracing paper overlays whose format will be 11"x17". Use of color is encouraged.

A series of study models should complement the graphic presentation.
