a result,  reducing greenhouse gasses, prompted RLI to develope "The Reefer Buddy"

for refrigerated trucks. (reefer trucks)

There are Two types of reefer trucks i.e.

j Reefers with compressors driven by Intergraded engines.

k Reefers with compressors driven by the truck engine.

The RLI Reefer Buddy applies to: Reefers with compressors driven by the truck engine.

The RLI Reefer Buddy is designed to operate the over the road reefer system with the truck engine

shut off , which will save  fuel and  wear and tear.

This translated in significant savings of both environment and money.

RLI's Reefer Buddy (a/c Buddy) model is designed to operate the A/C system on highway tractor trailers when parked.

This application allows the truck to be shut off and the A/C system still continues to operate while the driver

is sleeping, waiting to load or unload, stuck in traffic jam, or out of the truck for any reason.

The fuel saved using RLI's Reefer Buddy or A/C Buddy  vs. running the engine on the truck is significant.

More important the reduction in emissions is even greater.

Similar devices report cost savings annually of 2000.00 - 3000.00  dollars.
