FAMILY:  Wife:  Mary Davis; Married 1 March 1855 in Logan County, VA. by John L. Mills, JPLC; witnessed by John and Nancy Davis.  She married second John H. Kozee on 7 Jan 1867 in Logan County, W. VA. by James Williamson, minister of the Baptist Church.  Witnesses were Lydia Crumb and George W. Capman.
Children:  William Riley B: 16 Dec 1855; James D. B: 28 Sept 1859; Nancy 5 August 1862.

PENSION:  John H. Kozee of Tug River, Lawrence County, age 23, stepfather and guardian of the children of John Charles made application for their pension - 21 December 1867.  His post office was Louisa.

RESIDENCE:  Elk Creek, Pike County

DEATH:  10 April 1863 at the Regimental hospital at Louisa of typhoid fever - Dr. J.H. Hereford.
