You all have a wealth of information here and I enjoyed reading bits and pieces today. I plan to print and read more as time permits! You need to market this material in your CD form to the eastern Kentucky libraries!! I'm sure they would all be delighted to purchase a copy for local viewing! Robert, I enjoyed talking with you at your store today! I would be happy to contact the Boyd Co. Public Library at Ashland for you. Jim Epling would be able to help you also as he used to work there with my brother, Ron Worley. Let me know if you found the book we discussed today! swhill@wwd.net THANKS AGAIN! I can think of about 3 others who would enjoy this CD so I'll expose them to it!

This web site is great - interesting and so helpful. I'm happy to participate. My thanks to Robert, Brian and all who keep it going. I noticed a message from Dennis R. Hatfield (2/5/00) but no e-mail address. I hope you will see this Dennis. Many of my people were in Co. H. Richard Coleman was my GGgrandpa. You mentioned "the King brothers". The Kings are another of my family line . The Kings in Co. H were not brothers. Lewis King was the father of Capt. William King. Lewis King was Richard's father-in-law. Franklin, Jr. was, I believe, a nephew of Lewis', son of Franklin, Sr. How do you know about the relationship between the ings and Coleman? Mrs. Lewis King was Mary Phillips, dau of Zachariah and Elizabeth Charles. How was your William Phillips related to Mary Phillips King? Was William captured at Turman's Ferry?

This site just keeps getting better! You are doing a great job in preserving some of our heritage. I've learned so much about my GG Grandfather William Phillips. He actually died in a Confederate prison hospital in Richmond VA on Feb. 21, 1864. Many o the men in Company H with him were related, specifically the King brothers and Richard Coleman. Thanks so much for your hard work !

Very impressed! I found 5 relatives. Co. G & H father and son, my G-G-Grandfather & G-Grandfather:Thomas Cook & Jarred (Jarret/Jarritt) Cook. I have pension records detailing injuries sustained at Saltville, VA Dec. 1864 for Jarret Cook and records of wounds sustained by Thomas in 1864 (possibly in L uisa, KY)... am still collecting info. for genealogy on these ancestors and many other like Elexious Coleman of Co. H who was brother to my G-Grandmother. These folks moved to Lewis County, Washington in 1894 & 1903 raising large families and still have any descendents there (as do so many of the names in these rosters). Any contact would be welcome. This is a prodigeous effort and I appreciate all your hard work and research.

Ramsey listed in Company "B". As you can see in the information at the bottom of this message, he very well could have lived in KY, and he definitely was of the right age for the Civil War. Do you have any idea on how I could obtain further information about him? Sincerely, Monty Ives 1.
