FAMILY DATA: Born 1836; Son of Daniel and Mary Evans Coleman (brother of Elexious and Joseph Coleman – nephew of Denny Coleman); Wife: Pricy Charles, married 20 June, 1855; Children - Mary Elizabeth, Stark Elexious, Similda. (His widow remarried Shadrack Stacy 15 March, 1878). Her widow’s pension was reinstated after Stacy died. He signed by mark.

DEATH: 11 April, 1863, at regimental hospital at Louisa, KY.

The Adjutant General's Report states: "Died April 17, 1863, at Louisa, Kentucky, of erysipelas [Acute infectious disease of the skin or mucuous membranes characterized by inflammation of the skin, accompanied with fever; caused by any of several kinds of streptococcus.]."
