FAMILY HISTORY: William married Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Akers on October 28, 1868, in Prestonburg, Pike county, Kentucky. They had 6 children James Henry, 12-29-1876, William Thomas, 10-04-1878, Mary Jane, 5-6-1881, Andrew Jackson & Robert Lee, 10-12-1883, Nancy Hall who was raised by William and Betty.

RESIDENCE: William and his family moved to Oklahoma and ran in the Cherokee Strip land rush in 1893. They settled just out side of Ponca City.

DEATH: William died 2-5-1918, and he is buried in Round Grove Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

"William Keathley was born 2-20-1843 in Pike county, Kentucky. He married Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Akers on October 28, 1868, in Prestonburg, Floyd county, Kentucky. They had 6 children James Henry, 12-29-1876, William Thomas, 10-04-1878, Mary Jane, 5-6-1881, Andrew Jackson & Robert Lee (my grandfather), 10-12-1883, Nancy Hall who was raised by William and Betty. William also had a brother named Oliver who married a cousin named Rebecca Elizabeth Keathley, but that is all the information I have."
