FAMILY HISTORY: William married Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Akers on October 28, 1868, in Prestonburg, Pike county, Kentucky. They had 6 children James Henry, 12-29-1876, William Thomas, 10-04-1878, Mary Jane, 5-6-1881, Andrew Jackson & Robert Lee, 10-12-1883, Nancy Hall who was raised by William and Betty.

RESIDENCE: William and his family moved to Oklahoma and ran in the Cherokee Strip land rush in 1893. They settled just out side of Ponca City.

DEATH: William died 2-5-1918, and he is buried in Round Grove Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma.

"William Keathley was born 2-20-1843 in Pike county, Kentucky. He married Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Akers on October 28, 1868, in Prestonburg, Floyd county, Kentucky. They had 6 children James Henry, 12-29-1876, William Thomas, 10-04-1878, Mary Jane, 5-6-1881, Andrew Jackson & Robert Lee (my grandfather), 10-12-1883, Nancy Hall who was raised by William and Betty. William and his family moved to Oklahoma and ran in the Cherokee Strip land rush in 1893. They settled just out side of Ponca City. William died 2-5-1918 he is buried in Round Grove Cemetery in Ponca City. William had an uncle named Simpkins, the one listed here may be a cousin. William also had a brother named Oliver who married a cousin named Rebecca Elizabeth Keathley, but that is all the information I have."
