                               Footprints in the Sand

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonged to him and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. he noticed that many times along the part of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it. "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied, "My precious, precious child. I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you".

                         A man in Grief
                           Elieen knight Hangmeister

To be an man in grief since "men don't cry" and "men are strong".  No tears can bring relief. It must be very difficult to stand up to the test and field the calls and visitors so she can get some rest. They always ask if she's all right and what she's going through But seldom take his hand and ask, "My friend, but how are you"? He hears her crying in the night. And thinks his heart will break. He dries his tears and comforts her, And stays strong for her sake. It must be very difficult to start each day anew And try to be so brave-He lost a baby too.
            Tiny Footprints

Tiny footprints make their mark
upon a mother's heart.
Hattey Shea, made in God's image
from the very start.
With prayer, thanksgiving, and such love
a little life began.
Her parents are now left to trust
in God's almighty plan.
A life so small yet so complete
has finished all her race.
Now she with angels as they sing
looks on her Father's face.
So mother dear please know your girl
is not that far from you.
Her  Heavenly home, when you arrive,
your Hattey will show you.

            Little Angel
Little angel in mommy's womb
So longed for and so loved
Everyone is so excited and happy
Eagerly awaiting the birth of Hattey
But then,
Little angel in mommy's womb
God saw fit to bring her home
Those here on earth grieve and mourn
The expectaion gone away
But know that Hattey is with God today.

        Stillborn
        Linda Kay

Stillborn,
I am not sure that I understand.

Is it a babe who is born
In the hush of a morning's breath
Before the birds begin to sing?
No, This is not stillborn, though
We would like it to be.

It is a babe who is born so quiet,
So still, that the angels hush
Their rustling wings to hear
If she will not draw a tiny breath?
Perhaps. This is very close, but surely,
It means more.

Stillborn,
Born, still in the arms of God.
Stillborn,
Born, still in the full knowledge of
God's love and power,
His glory and grace.

Born still to us, but alive to God!
Surely this is stillborn;
No dealth , but life eternal,
No sorrow, but everylasting peace,
No separation, but
Communion forever
With God!
Yes, now I understand,
Stillborn.....
