Conor
Conor is the reluctant 20 year-old hero who must rise above tragedy to lead his people to freedom. His family and the woman he loved murdered, Conor and his three friends (Fergus, Catlin, and Tully) struggle to unite the tribes of the island in order to defend themselves against the encroaching romans.

fergus
Fergus is a legendary  warrior and champion of Conor's father, King Derek. Fearless, loyal and eager to drink lesser men under the table, Fergus is Conor's big hearted, ebullient protector.

catlin
Catlin is a beautiful former slave who has grown up the prisoner of an evil, ruthless King. Recently escaped, she is fiercely independent, strong-willed and a fearless fighter. however, underneath her tough exterior is a fragile heart.

Tully
Tully is the young, charming and cocky teenager with a knack for trouble. A master horseman and quick with a bullwhip, Tully is eager to prove himself on the battlefield.

Diana
Queen Diana is an emissary of the evil Romans whose great beauty and sensuality are surpassed only by her capacity for evil.
 
 

Longinus
Longinus is Queen Diana's sorcerer and spiritual advisor and Conor's nemesis. Although he appears as a handsome 30-year-old man, Longinus is actually a 400-year-old Roman Centurion who killed his own god.  Longinus is the handsome youth Diana lusts for, but when challenged, the old man sheds his skin (the shame of four centuries) and reveals itself as a serpent of terrifying power.
