MARRIAGE: Francis -- only two known children, Thomas and Jane.

RESIDENCE: The Mendenhalls came from Marriage Hill, Ramsbury, Little Bedwyn,
Greater Bedwyn and Mildenhall, Wiltshire, England. All of these little
communities are within 5 miles of each other and they are west of London
about 60-70 miles and the port of Bristol is another 60 miles west.

From: "William D. Leonard"
Thomas Mendenhall (1609-1673) m. Anne (Unknown) (1609-1640)
From the best sources that I know of the father of Thomas Mendenhall (who
married Joane Strode) is not Francis as many references show, rather it
is Thomas Mendenhall. Francis was probably an uncle.
-Dean dean@svpal.org (William D. Leonard)

Francis was born 3 Dec 1618 AFN: 9JX3-98

310. William Strode

Initially I thought him William Strode whom King Charles I sought to arrest
along w/ 4 other parliamnt leadrs 4 Jan 1642 at house of commons followg close
passage of the Grand Remonstrance (against Charles). They were hid by Puritans.
This was all part of events leading up to the English Civil War. But he is not
the same.
