How to add text to a path.

1Select the Ellipse Tool.

2Hold down the Shift Key and drag to make a small circle (this will make it a true circle). It doesn't matter what color you make it, because after the Type Tool is applied to the path it will disappear.
*Note: If you do not hold the shift key while dragging, you will get an Oval, or Ellipse, not a true circle.

3Select the Path Type Tool, the "T" sitting at a right angle to your surface, as shown.

4Click somewhere on the edge of the circle to make an insertion point on the path.

5If you have a cursor blinking on the path, then you are ready to start typing.Type out a few words then continue to the next step.

6To move the type along the path, use the Selection Tool and select the Path, then click on the I-Beam in front of the type and drag it around the circle. The image and animation to the left shows this in motion.

7To flip the text on the inside of the path, double click on the I-Beam.
