Ha effettuato il primo volo il 29 Settembre 1988 in Westland. E' stato uno dei prototipi commerciali dell'EH101. Fu utilizzato diffusamente per integrare le attività di sviluppo della versione navale sfruttando la comunalità che la versione commerciale aveva con quella navale. Ha cessato di volare a metà 1999 quando è stato ceduto al Museo Weston-Super-Mare in Inghilterra.

It was first flown on the 29th September 1988 at Westland site. It was one of the EH101 commercial prototype. It has mainly been used to integrate the EH101 naval variant development, exploiting the common equipments that the commercial variant had with the naval one. It stopped flying mid 1999 and then it was donated to the Museum at Weston-Super-Mare in the United Kingdom.

Ha effettuato il primo volo il 15 Giugno 1989 in Westland. E' stato il prototipo "basico-avionico" della versione navale dell’EH101, utilizzato per sviluppare la avionica di base dell'elicottero. E' stato il primo prototipo che ha volato con i nuovi motori RRTM322 (Luglio 1993). Tali sono i motori che oggi equipaggiano i velivoli di serie della Royal Navy. Ha cessato di volare il 7 Aprile 1995 in seguito ad un incidente di volo in cui il velivolo è andato distrutto.

It was first flown on the 15th June 1989 at Westland site. It was the “basic-avionic” prototype of the EH101naval variant, used to develop the whole helicopter basic avionic. It was the prototype that flew first with the new RRTM322 engines (July 1993). Those engines are used today by the Royal Navy production aircrafts. It stopped flying on the 7th April 1995 following an air-crash where the prototype was destroyed.
