Ha effettuato il primo volo il 15 Dicembre 1989 in Agusta. E' stato il prototipo impiegato per sviluppare la versione militare "Utility" dell'EH101(con portellone di carico posteriore). E' attualmente rischierato in Canada ove sta conducendo le prove per la verifica del sistema "Anti ghiaccio" dell'EH101. Particolarmente interessato a questa versione è il Governo canadese che ha piazzato un Contratto per la acquisizione di 15 EH101 "Utility" in versione S.A.R.

It was first flown on the 15th December 1989 at Agusta site. It has been the prototype used to develop the EH101 military "Utility" variant (equipped with rear ramp). At the moment it is deployed in Canada where it is carrying out the EH101 "Icing Trials". Canadian Govenrment has placed an order to procure 15 EH101 Utility helicopters for Search and Rescue purposes.

Ha effettuato il primo volo il 24 Aprile 1990 in Westland. E' il prototipo della versione civile dell'EH101, che verrà impiegato per il trasporto di passeggeri. Oggi è ridislocato in Scozia ad Aberdeen ove sta effettuando una intensa attività di volo per la cosiddetta "Maturity & Reliability" che è finalizzata ad ottimizzare la affidabilità dei componenti l'elicottero.

It was first flown on the 24th April 1990 at Westland site. It is EH101 prototype of the civil variant, that will be used for passengers transportation. At the present it is detached to Scotland (Aberdeen) where it is carrying out an intense flight activity, named Maturity & Reliability, which aims to optimize the EH101 components reliability.
