1. Who wants you to be ignorant about the spiritual gifts?

Ans: The devil does so you won’ t have any power in your life. (ICor. 12:1)

2. Do people who are occult exalt Jesus?

Ans: No. People who are occult cannot accept  the deity of Jesus. Lord Dowding, noted medium says, "The doctrine of the Trinity seems to have no adherents in advanced circles of the spirit world. The divinity of Christ... is universally denied." Bishop Pike’s dead son is supposed to have said, "They (the dead spirits) talk about him, a mystic, a seer, yes..., Oh. but Dad, they don’t talk about him as savior." pp.65.67 in William J. Peterson’s THOSE CURIOUS NEW CULTS. (see ICor.12:3)

3. How else can we identify people who are occult?

Ans: By getting and using the gift of discerning of spirits (12: 10).

4. Are spiritual gifts for part of the church or for each one?

Ans: "Each one" (ICor. 12:7) The devil doesn’t want anyone to have a spiritual gift.

5. If you speak in tongues only once in your life, does this mean you have, the gift of tongues?

Ans: No Romans 11:29 says the gifts and callings of God are without repentance. James 1:5 says Cod gives gifts to all men liberally and upbraideth not.

6. Does I Cor.12:30 teach that none of the Corinthians ever spoke in tongues in their lives?

Ans: No. It says, "DO all speak in tongues" not "DID all speak in tongues’ The present tense shows habit and custom in the Greek language.

7. Is I Cor.12-14 talking about people receiving the gift or the baptism of the Holy Spirit?

Ans: Another Greek word (doron) is used for gift of the Holy Spirit. The word here in ICor 121:1 is charisma. It is never used of Holy Spirit baptism.

8. Are spiritual gifts profitable?

Ans: Yes. The devil is against them for this reason.(12:6)

9. Are people with gifts of spirit compared to eyes, ears, hands and feet of the church?

Ans: Yes. (I Cor.12:12-26)

10. ls the church O.K. without eyes, ears, hands and feet?

Ans: As far as the devil is concerned it’ s doing great! He wants to keep it that way.

11. Who set the gifts in the church?

Ans: God (ICor. 12:28)

12. Who took them out?

Ans: The devil tries to but doesn’t succeed.

13. Did God put these profitable things in and later repent, change his mind and take them out?

Ans: No. (Heb.13:8; James l:5;1:17 and Ron ll:29)

14. ls God an Indian giver?

Ans: No! Rom. 11:29

15. Does He give to a few men stingily?

Ans: No! All men liberally. (James l:5)

16. ls He a respecter of persons or will He give His gifts to anybody who wants them?

Ans: Anybody. see Acts 10: 34;45.

17. Did He give the gifts to the apostles or all believers?

Ans: The believers. Mark 16:17, 18)

18. When the testimony of Christ is conformed do gifts cease?

Ans: No. I Cor.1:6,7

19. Will God ever stop giving the gifts?

Ans: Yes. When perfection comes and they are no longer needed. 1Cor. 13:10.

20. Do we need the gift of discerning of spirits now?

Ans: Yes because there are spirits to discern.

21. When will this gift be taken back?

Ans: When there are no more demons left as per Rev.20:1O.

22. When will God no longer give the gift of healing?

Ans: When there are no more sick bodies as per Phil.3:21.

23. When will the gift of tongues and interpretation be taken away?

Ans: When we all have one language as per Zeph.3:9

24. When will the gift of wisdom and knowledge be done away with?

Ans: When we no longer see through a glass darkly. (I Cor. 13: 10, 12)

25. When will apostles be taken out of the church?

Ans: When we cone into the unity of the faith. (Eph.4:8, 13)

26. When will God no longer give the gift of prophecy?

Ans: When He wipes away all tears (Rev.7: 17) and we don’t need to be comforted. (I Cor.l4:3)

27. When will God no longer give the gift of miracles?

Ans: When nothing about nature needs to be changed. (Rom.8: 22,23)

28. When will God no longer give the gift of faith?

Ans: When unbelief is gone.(Rev.21;8) We don’t have gifts so much because faith is established as because unbelief reigns.

29. Should we desire spiritual gifts?

Ans: Yes. (ICor. 14:1; 12:31)

30. What do we do when we minimize the importance of spiritual gifts?

Ans: Quench the Spirit. (I Thes.5:19,20)

31. Should we want people to speak in tongues?

Ans: Yes. (I Cor 14:5)

32. Should we forbid someone to speak in tongues?

Ans: No.14:39)

33. If someone doesn’t have an interpreter should we let him speak in tongues?

Ans: Yes. I Cor. 14:28 says, "Let him speak to himself and to God."

34. When is a person forbidden to speak in tongues?

Ans: When he is addressing a group of people who have no way of understanding him. The expression "in church" can mean "before an assembled meeting" in Greek and implies the individual is the speaker who is addressing the gathering.

35. Are tongues a sign of immaturity?

Ans: No. (Cor.14i18)

36. Does a person who speaks in tongues edify no one at all?

Ans: No. He edifies himself. (I Cor.14:4)

37. Who does a person speaking in tongues without an interpreter talk to?

Ans: God.(14:2)

38. lf I speak to a single individual in private at church in another language he understands does someone else have a right to complain because he doesn’t  know what we’re saying?

Ans: No.

39. When a group of Christians speak in tongues does someone always have to interpret?

Ans: No. Who interpreted in Acts 10:45 and 19:6?

40. Does I Cor.14:22 teach tongues are ONLY for a sign to unbelievers?

Ans: No. If yes, what unbelievers were present in Acts 10:44-48 and in 19:6?

41. Where is the Scripture tongues are for the first century only?

Ans: Nowhere. A person would sooner find a do-do bird, an ivory billed wood pecker and a moose with green feathers
