The majestic Jerusalem temple was the glory of ancient Israel, and the center of Jewish religious life for a thousand years — from its original construction under King Solomon (967/966 B.C.) until its final destruction by the Romans in A.D. 70, about 40 years after Jesus’ earthly ministry. Mormon Web Ministries   Accepting  the challenge which LDS Prophet" Brigham Young issued in 1873:

"Take up the Bible, compare the religion of the Latter-day Saints with it, and see if it will stand the test." Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 16, p. 46.

We believe that the knowledge obtained in this manner is crucial to the decision-making process. Therefore, we will endeavor to make this information readily available to the public, so that it may be considered by Mormonism's potential converts. In addition, we seek to increase public awareness of the history and doctrinal evolution of Mormonism.

NOTE: Without all the facts, one can never really know the truth.  In order to accurately assess the truth concerning Mormonism, you should also familiarize yourself with that organization's position on each of the topics we have discussed.  Don't merely accept our word, or anyone else's concerning this important subject. Mormonism's current theology, as it is represented by that organization today.
