Does the priesthood of Jesus Cnrist prove two persons IN THE GODHEAD?

By Paul Ferguson

Answer: NO ! It proves Jesus Christ has two natures and that He is one MAN and one GOD!

Here is the clear, Bible proof: LOOK AT THE EVIDENCE!

1. 1 Tim.2:5 says the priestly mediator is "the MAN Christ Jesus."

2. Hebrews 5:1 says priests are taken from among MEN. Heb.8:3 calls the priest ‘‘this MAN"

3. Unless the priest is a MAN "in all things", He is not a faithful high priest. (Heb.2: 17, 18)

4. If the mediator is NOT the FLESH of Jesus Christ, there is NO WAY to God. (Heb. 10: 17,

5. The priest must be a MAN with human weaknesses. (Heb.2; 18; 4:15,16)

6. The priest "sprang out" of the tribe of Judah. (Heb.’7: 17) Jesus as GOD was from everlasting.

7. In the mediatorial prayer the priest addressed the Father as "the ONLY TRUE GOD. Jesus is the MIGHTY GOD and hence the ONLY Divine person involved in the mediation is Jesus Christ. Isa.9: 6.

8. The priest was MADE PERFECT. (Heb.5;8,9) Hence the priest CANNOT be Jesus as God. Jesus as God was already perfect or He wouldn’t be God.

SUMMARY: Where is the evidence and proof the priest and God are two persons in the GODHEAD? Where are the distinctions here in the Godhead? Where is the proof the priestly mediation must refer to Jesus’ Deity? Where is chapter and verse for this?

Directions: Copy this and. take it. to ANY minister or Bible teacher who believes persons in the Godhead. Have him write on the back how it is that the priesthood of Christ shows this. There is no preacher or angel alive who can do this. The fact no proof will be given is proof in itself that there is only ONE person in the Godhead. Jesus Christ. The three person theory is NOT too sacred to question. We are demanding of the religious world Bible answers.
