During the course of mankind, there have been many rulers who were looked up upon. Adolf Hitler who brought pride to Germany and Joseph Stalin who became the father of Communism.
Their dreams started out as good intentions, but through human pride and arrogance, it turned evil and destructive. All of their hopes and dreams became the nightmare that was unleashed on the world.
For Adolf Hitler, it meant the murder of 6 million Jewish men, women and children. A majority of them Jews who were killed because of ethical differences. In World War II, Adolph Hitler ruled England killing people with his great vocal ability.
During many studies of Nazism I believe that many Germans saw Hitler as a savior; a person who would rescue Germany from Depression and put pride back into the Motherland.
If you look at the history of mankind we begin to see a pattern emerging. One not of love, but rather of hate and indifference to other cultures. We must see why this event occurred.
Let's understand why mankind refuses to surrender himself to a higher power. When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the whole of mankind fell into sin. Therefore, no one is immune to death's power. But how can I overcome it?
Jesus died for you. He chose to lead us out of darkness and to come into the light. Everybody will die and you may fail to see it.
There's a famous story of Mayor LaGuardia of New York, during the Great Depression, paid for a lady's fine and then fined everyone in the courthouse 50 cents. Everybody applauded his action.
Imagine a God who can pay for your sins by one act of forgiveness. A God who loved you so much, that He took your place for your sins.
God has given you an opportunity to repent of your sins, and to accept this free gift. No matter how good we are we will never be equal to God. Romans 3:11, " There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God."
Imagine a world where perfect peace exists. It can never be found in this time and space. For God is beyond us. "For my thoughts are above my thoughts."
To imagine peace in this world is often fragile and short lived. It is based upon conditions and circumstances. Although the world has tried to achieve some kind of world peace all efforts have failed. Eventually war is the only way to win peace.
If God is beyond us, how am I going to be saved? By the power of the blood of Jesus.
For almost 2,000 years we have searched for the reason why Jesus came. For some, the answer is found written on their hearts, and others look for something to satisfy them.
If you are striving for a goal, make sure you don't miss what you see around you. For within this space Jesus is looking for you. And right now he wants a relationship with you.
How do I communicating with Jesus? First open your heart to him, and let him come into your life. It doesn't matter what condition or emotional status you are feeling, for Jesus knows all.
What must be done is to admit that you have sinned against him, and you are asking for forgiveness. We must not fall for all the things than this world, but rather look for what God has to offer. We as Christians must keep our sights on higher grounds.
Until next time.
