Episode 3:
A Time to Remember
Stardate: 2411.3.12
Dr. Lightspeed was talking to Dr. Michaels, her assistant, about the starchild.
"Overall," Dr. Michaels said, "I believe that there is no way, for sure, to test for the starchild. But, I heard that there is a doctor or scientist who knows all about the starchild."
"Where can we find such a person?"
"The last I heard of him, he was living on Ebos, in the Galac system. There he, or she, will give us the translation of this prophecy."
"Do you want me to dispatch a team to find this person? I can have a crew within 2 days time, tops."
"Good. I just hope we have not run out of time."
As Dr. Michaels left the room. Evil thoughts entered Dr. Lightspeed's mind.
How can this be? For if the legend is lost, there will no way of knowing if Kero is the one. But it has to be. There is no other explanation. I can feel it in my gut. What if the legend is wrong? There has to be something missing. But what?
For Kero, today was like any other day. A day at school with his friends. A chance to learn something new about himself.
"Class," Mr. Evans, Kero's history teacher, spoke. "Today is Invasion Day. It was a day that effects both you and me, our society and everything else. Can you tell me where these visitors originally came from?"
For a second there was silence. Laura Perkins raised her hand and said, "Earth."
"Correct. But can you tell me why they choose this planet?"
"So that they could colonize and grow."
"Yes. But there is so much more. They came to fulfill a prophecy. The starchild." The class was in awe at what the teacher said. Others were in shock. "You see there was so much to learn. We learned their culture, way of life and about their creator. But, we taught them how to live in peace, to love unconditionally, and to live without shame."
He paced the room and reassured the students, "For this year, marks the 150th anniversary of the Invasion. And you have been asked to participate in the recreating of this historical event. Believe me, this will be fun for all of us. We can trace our heritage back to that ship. Others, can trace their parents back to Earth."
The bell rang and the class was over. Kero was still not sure what was going on.
