Episode 1: Introduction to Terror

EMPIRE is about the Mesmolite government under the control of Chancellor Malcolm Dexter. Malcolm wanted to gain control of a tiny planet called Arion. Arion was a peaceful and loving world ruled by King Turo and Queen Lisbo. For many eons the Mesmolites and Arions were allies.

The Arions were well known for their intelligence. Their incredible inventions and ideas were well received and well known throughout the galaxy.

The Mesmolites were otherwise known for their machines. Many of their tools were used by other planets in wars, and in peace time operations.

The two planets eventually formed an alliance. Together they built spaceships, high-tech fighter planes, and advanced robots to travel in space where man could not. They also built The Fortress. The building that served as a peace team for all planets.

Their friendship would seem to last forever. That was until the day Malcolm become Chancellor. Malcolm requested that all projects be ceased. Naturally, there was outrage on the streets from both planets.

King Turo was wondering why the plans were cancelled, but there seemed to be no answer. Malcolm requested to come to the castle to explain.

It seemed that the Mesmolites were not getting the credit they deserved. The Arions were getting all the publicity, and that there was no point in continuing onward.

The one good thing that happened to the Arion people was the building of their national defense. In the corner of the room, Malcolm saw a table with what looked like a battle plan. Malcolm became furious with the idea that the Arions would think of attacking him. A fight ensued and King Turo threw Malcolm over the desk, knocking the planes down on the floor. Malcolm grabbed his phaser and shot King Turo in the arm, causing him to fall down.

Malcolm left in disgust and warned the king that their relationship could be in danger. Malcolm realized that the king's army was no match against The Empire. Was this the beginning of the end?
