Kero began the investigation into Sharon Parker's death. Her plane was inspected only 2 days before the crash. It was believed that her death was to silence her from going to Federation Chief Jimmy Barnes. Kero met her parents at their house on the planet Myros.
Myros was located 2 planet from Mesma, the home planet for the Mesmolites. James, the father, explained that on many occasions Sharon was disgusted with the problems that were happening with the projects.
At first, there seemed to be no explanation to why the orders for the parts were changed. Later on, it seemed quite natural. Slowly, she realized that although the parts had changed, nobody noticed it. Not even General Moore, chief commander of the F-16 project.
Her brother, Matthew, explained that she had a diary, which lasted several years. In the diary she explained a lot of details about the empire and its secret society. It was code named The Legion Of Doom.
It's mission was often a mystery. Its leader was Jonathan Sparks, a revolutionary young man who saw the evil in people. He believed that the Arion people were destroying the Mesmolites. (Author's note: Many years ago, preachers from the planet Earth came to proclaim the word of God. The Arions accepted it with no problem and incorporated religion into their society. The Mesmolites, on the other hand, denied it and the preachers were forced off the planet. I will explain this in future episodes.)
Sharon went on to meet Brian Hodges, the group leader who eventually became Lt. General, one step below Malcolm. Brian introduced her to the group, and even told her that the group had formed to "change the way of thinking." The group thought only of fear and aggression against those who were defenseless. Although the relationship was going fine, she always had doubts about what the group was actually doing. One day, she sneaked in and observed a scene she could not believe her eyes.
In a chair, chained and gagged, was a black man. Standing around him were a group of men. The leader walked around the chair saying accusations against the black man. One of them was that he was dating a white girl. The leader smacked his face and the black guy fell to the floor. The leader laughed and all cheered on. The
beating continued until the black man's face was swollen. Finally I'm free, the black man thought. Instead the leader shot him several times. Once in the face, twice in the chest and once through the heart. The group broke up leaving him to die.
Sharon fled the place in fear. Now her head was spinning with many ideas? Was she the innocent victim of Brian's cruel joke, or was the Legion a group to be feared?
