John, another graduate of the MATESOL program at San Francisco State University, has been teaching ESL/EFL and writing since 1991.
As an instructor of technical writing and Business English, John has taught at UC Berkeley, Harvard University, UC Santa Barbara and the New School for Social Research. He has conducted Business English training for Ericsson Telecommunications, Unibanco, Cytec Chemicals, and other corporations in Brazil and Italy. Currently, he teaches technical writing at UC Berkeley Extension and lectures on topics related to technology in their Business English program.
As a writing consultant,
he has written online content for companies aiming to integrate language with
technology. More of his clients include ProActive English, Intercultural Solutions
and EFCafe.com.
John has also served as a senior technical writer who has worked on projects for Outcome, NBC Internet (Snap.com), AltaVista, San Francisco Works, GlobalEnglish.com, Fabrik Communications and NetDIVE.
