Burn My Eyes
Rating (1-10): 8.5
This was the last Machine Head record that I bought, but it was their first major release (I don't know if they had anything out before this). This album was a bit of a shock because it is a lot more thrash-sounding then their two most recent records. Still this album is good and a must have for all Machine Head fans. When you get this album, check out the songs "Old", "None but My Own", and "Death Church".
The More Things Change
Rating (1-10): 9
This is a great record with a lot more metal then the first one. There is not much more to say about this record except the fact that it is more mature then the first one, and you can tell. Not only do the lyrics sound better, but you can tell that they improved as artists as well; the music sounds better and sounds harder to play. Check out "Ten Ton Hammer", "Bay of Pigs", and "Blistering".
The Burning Red
Rating (1-10): 9.5
This is Machine Head's best record and a great album for any metal-head like myself. This album is even more mature then the first one and sounds like a mix of Pantera, Rage Against the Machine, and Nine Inch Nails, weird, huh? Some of the songs are fast paced metal, some are more funky with rappish vocals, and some sound quite industrial. The cover of Sting's "Message in a Bottle" is a great track and "The Blood, the Sweat, the Tears", "Desire to Fire", "Exhale the Vile", and "The Burning Red" are all great songs.
