Like Slipknot, Mudvayne brings a fresh sound to metal music. Although the sounds are different, Mudvayne's first release, "L.D. 50" couldn't have come at a better time. Metal music is beginning to prosper again and Mudvayne will be right there to help the cause. The sound, in my opinion, takes music like Korn and makes it faster and heavier with less beats. The vocals are rough and the guitars are edgy and real. Despite the simplicity of some of the songs, Mudvayne has a lot of raw talent that should only grow in the near future. "Dig", "Nothing to Gein", and "Cradle" are all great songs.
