System of a Down

Rating (1-10): 7.5 Ok, I really don't like this band. Although they have a funky, unique sound, I don't like it. But hey, it's not for everyone. I would strongly suggest sampling the tracks before you purchase the cd, and if you like it, great, go for it. I, however, will most likely not be making any more SOAD purchases. "Sugar" is ok. As far as the music goes, combine Rage Against the Machine with Weird Al and add in a little Pantera and you have this band. Sure, it's new and fresh, sure it's different, but sure, it's not good. This is a prime example as to the certain bad things about new metal. Although bands like Slaves on Dope have really helped the new metal era, I think bands like this are hurting it.
