Nativity in Black: A Tribute to Black Sabbath

Rating (1-10): 9 As the name implies, the Nativity in Black album is a bunch of metal artists covering classic Sabbath tunes. The two NIBs are definitely my favorite tribute records as actual good bands cover the songs and not crappy ones. White Zombie's version of "Children of the Grave" is especially memorable as is Megadeth doing "Paranoid". Great covers album to pick up.

Nativity in Black II: A Tribute to Black Sabbath

Rating (1-10): 10 I really didn't think that this album would get a 10, but all the songs are so well done that I just couldn't resist. This should be the first covers album you ever buy as metal's best artists play some of metal's best songs of all time, truly a lethal combination. Check out Godsmack doing "Sweet Leaf" and System of a Down doing "Snowblind". "Hole in the Sky" by Machine Head and "Behind the Wall of Sleep" by Static-X are also great. As with all cds rated "10", go get it!
