This was a very successful time in the Old Anselly's history with 1st XV and 2nd XV providing a squad capable of beating any local 1st XV on their day. The club fielded 6 teams most Saturdays. I later played for the Old Instonians when I moved to Prenton. Both clubs had great spirit and wonderful characters in their ranks.
