| Football is the world game, a truly magnificant sport. However at professional level it has to be said that with the current situation of ever-increasing player wages and high ticket prices the game is losing some of its beauty because of business. Is there a solution? I don't know but I'd just like smaller clubs to be more competitive and for real fans to be able to get into the grounds. There can't be any real beauty in a sport if the richest team always comes out on top. Personally I support Sunderland a really progressive football team with the most passionate supporters in England. However when I was young growing up in Ireland I did follow (emphasis only followed didn't go to games or such like) a different team, which I'm now ashamed of even though I've many good memories of watching them on T.V. Now though I can proudly say I don't just follow a team but support them by attending matches, giving very vocal support at the games and keeping up to date daily with news via their website.
