Mötley Crüe emerged in 1981 in Hollywood, California, the Cradle of Glam Metal.

Since the begining, guitarist Mick Mars, bassist Nikki Sixx, vocalist Vince Neil and drummer Tommy Lee, have conformed a band which has made their reputation by being the most outrageous, unpredictable and irreverent band ever to emerge from the Los Angeles area.

Mötley Crüe has always gone beyond the concept of a simple Heavy Metal band, for the four members conformed a true brotherhood; each member of Mötley Crüe has a different history and that’s what has combined them in a unique mix. All of the band members are avid motorcyclists and have formed their own hot rod club called "Deuces Wild".

During the glamorous decade of the 80’s, Mötley Crüe marked the rhythm for hundreds of bands which begun to appear on the L.A. metal scene (Ratt is one of those). And despite their glam image, Mötley never felt so down like other bands whom rather exploited their "look" instead of their music. Mötley Crüe has always maintained at the vanguard of the 80’s Metal with a style that many tried to imitate, but never could match.

In each of their productions, there’s always something that makes a difference and make them get deep in the taste of their fans. So, with such albums like, "Too Fast For Love", "Shout At The Devil" and "Theater Of Pain", Mötley Crüe had consolidate during the first half of the 80’s as the best Heavy Metal band of the U.S. West Coast.

In 1986, Mötley launched, "Girls, Girls, Girls", an álbum that took them to the top of the Metal Olympus with tunes such as: "Girls, Girls, Girls", "All In The Name Of...", "You’re All I Need" and "Wild Side".

Three years later; the Crües got back in charge with their fifth album, "Dr. Feelgood", which gave a turn all around the world. And a couple of years later, the band launched their successful compilation known as "Decade Of Decadence, ‘81-‘91".

After this launch, Mötley Crüe got into internal conflicts and as a result, Vince Neil left band and the world of Metal trembled, for the mythical brotherhood of the Crües was broken.

In 1992, John Corabi got in the band and a new album is out simply named: "Mötley Crüe", in which we could hear the same characteristic sound of Mötley, but without the element which gave sense to their music: the voice of Vince Neil. The album had some kind of accepting, but the fans weren’t satisfied at all.

On his own, Vince gathered some excellent musicians; among them Metal Guitar Master, Steve Stevens; but didn’t succeeded as well.

Thus, after some years, Mötley Crüe gathered again as good bros, and decided to reconcile. The Crües reunion raised a lot of expectation and revived the spirits of those who didn’t believe in the band anymore.

Finally, in the first months of 1997, came up the seventh album of the band titled: "Generation Swine". Previous to its launch, the Crües gave a lot of interviews before every media, in which they talked "wonders" of their new production; but after the first single, "Afraid", occurred the same as with Metallica: a great disappointment to many of the fans, for they don’t have the same sound that we all were used to listen; even the remix version of "Shout At The Devil" doesn’t sound as "Mötley" as the original.

¿Have Mötley Crüe sold their souls for money, or is it just a failed experiment which will bring back the good old Mötley we used to know? That only time will tell...

Desde sus inicios, el guitarrista Mick Mars, el bajista Nikki Sixx, el vocalista Vince Neil y el batero Tommy Lee, han conformado una banda que ha fincado su reputación siendo la banda más extravagante, impredecible e irreverente que jamás haya surgido del área de Los Angeles.

Mötley Crüe siempre ha ido más allá del concepto de una simple banda de Heavy Metal, ya que los cuatro integrantes conformaron una verdadera hermandad; cada miembro de Mötley Crüe tiene una historia diferente y eso es lo que los ha conjugado en una mezcla única. Todos los miembros de la banda son ávidos motociclistas y han formado su propio club de autos de carreras llamado "Deuces Wild".

Durante la glamorosa década de los 80’s, Mötley Crüe marco el ritmo de muchas bandas que comenzaron a aparecer en la escena metalera de Los Angeles (Ratt es una de ellas). A pesar de su imagen glam, Mötley nunca cayó tan bajo como otras bandas que prefirieron mejor explotar su "look" que su música. Mötley Crüe siempre se mantuvo a la vanguardia del Metal ochentero con un estilo que muchos intentaron copiar, más nunca pudieron igualar.

En cada una de sus producciones, siempre hay algo que las distingue y las hace llegar muy profundo al gusto de sus fans. Así, con sus álbums "Too Fast For Love", "Shout At The Devil" y "Theatre Of Pain", Mötley Crüe se fue consolidando durante la primera mitad de los 80’s como la mejor banda de Heavy Metal de la Costa Oeste de los Estados Unidos.

Tres años después los Crüe volvieron a la carga con su quinto álbum "Dr. Feelgood", que le dio la vuelta al mundo entero. Y un par de años después, la banda lanza su exitosa recopilación de éxitos conocida como "Decade Of Decadence, ‘81-‘91".

Tras el lanzamiento del album compilatorio, Mötley Crüe entra en conflictos y como resultado, Vince Neil sale de la banda y el mundo del Metal se estremece, pues la mítica hermandad de los Crüe se había roto.

En 1992 John Corabi entra al quite y sale a la luz un nuevo álbum titulado simplemente: "Mötley Crüe", en el que podemos escuchar el mismo sonido característico de Mötley, pero sin el elemento que daba sentido a su música: la voz de Vince Neil. El álbum tuvo más o menos buena aceptación, pero los fans nunca quedaron del todo satisfechos.

Por su parte, Vince reunió a varios músicos excelentes, entre ellos el maestro de la guitarra metálica: Steve Stevens, pero tampoco tuvo el éxito que esperaba.

Así, después de algunos años, los Mötley Crüe vuelven a reunirse como buenos hermanitos y deciden reconciliarse. La reunión de los Crüe levantó muchas expectativas y reavivó los ánimos de todos aquellos que habían dejado de creer en la banda.

Finalmente, en los primeros meses de 1997, sale a la luz el séptimo álbum de la banda titulado: "Generation Swine". Previo a su lanzamiento, los Crüe dieron muchas entrevistas ante todos los medios de comunicación, en las que hablaban "maravillas" de su nueva producción, pero tras el lanzamiento del primer single, "Afraid", ocurrió lo mismo que en el caso de Metallica: una gran decepción para muchos de los fanáticos, pues ya no tienen el mismo sonido al que nos habían acostumbrado; incluso el remix de "Shout At The Devil" ya no suena tan "Mötley" como el original.

¿Habrá vendido Mötley Crüe su alma por dinero, o se trata solamente de un experimento fallido que traerá como resultado un retorno al viejo Mötley que conocíamos? Eso sólo el tiempo lo dirá...
