Wisconsin State Samboree

Tomah, Wi

June 16, 2007

 

     Vice President Claude Eakins called the meeting of the Rocky Rollers Chapter to order at 11:10 am. We opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was taken with 12 members present.

Vice President’s Report:

·        Claude attended the State Meeting.

·        The 2008 Samboree will be held at Tomah, Wi. The Theme is “South of the Border”

·        It was decided that after the contract is completed in 2008 we will move the Samboree around to different locations.

·        A new Youth Director has been appointed, Betty Hawley.

 

Secretary’s Report:

·        It was suggested we dispense with the reading of the May minutes. Motion made by Helen Pfaff, second Patsy Corder.

Treasurer’s Report:

·        None

Wagon Masters Report:

·        The July Campout will be at Lake Le- Aqua- Na State Park in Lena, IL.

·        Kay & Dave Meyers will be the hosts.

Old Business:

·        Nominations for new Officers:

·        President..Lori Reed

·        V. President..Helen Holder

·        Treasurer..Sue Schlueter

·        Secretary..Mel Crawford

·        Wagon Master..Tom Schlueter & Mike Reed to share the position

·        There were no new nominations made from the floor.

·        Motion was made to accept the nominations as written. Motion made by Tom Schlueter, second Patsy Corder. All in favor.

·        A motion was made that ballots need not be sent out since only one person was running for each office. After much discussion a vote was taken.  All were in favor of not sending out ballots and the nominations be accepted for the offices.

·        The actual Ballots by acclimation will be announced at the July Meeting.

Motion to Adjourn:

·        Motion was made at 11:40 am by Tom Schlueter, second Faye Eakins.
