Pavo, formerly Snow White Barbie, is the doll I have donation for the Auction at this year's Barbie Convention in Tulsa. I designed this gown when I was in the 5th grade. Since I really don't want to bead a gown my size I decided it was better suited for Barbie. Though the pictures don't show it, the entire gown is beaded (using the smallest beads available) with hundreds of peacock feathers. The beads were hand sorted to ensure the proper color was placed in the correct position in the feather. Her necklace is a miniture peacock feather and worn down the back. The hem has been beaded to resemble the tips of the feathers and this is repeated in the tips of the wrap. Since I spent over three weeks beading this doll it was a little difficult to send her away - but it is for a good cause! I REALLY hope she makes live auction!
Pavo features a fully lined, heavily beaded gown of teal satin with a matching wrap, a full facial repaint, rooted lashes, custom jewelry, and the Deesse de Millienium hairstyle featuring a reverse French braid with accenting twists.
