Marcus, waiter, 26 years old

Marcus is a waiter in the cafe Starbucks in the center of Hamburg. He was born in Berlin, but decided to move to Hamburg, because he wanted to study philosophy at the University of Hamburg. Since he graduated, he has not been able to find a job in his domain of work. He has decided to do this part time job because he needs the money. Marcus has been invited to a job interview at the institute for philosophy of the University of Bonn. Marcus has never been to Bonn before. He is exited about the whole idea of going to the interview because this is a big opportunity for him. Marcus is a very positive person, always trying to get the best out of live. He promises himself that even if things do not work out the best for him, he will still have a great time in Bonn.
The only problem is that the last couple of days he has not checked his emails. It is the last week of December, so there were a lot of parties in the city. He has even forgotten about having sent the application to the university. Marcus saw the invitation just in time to catch the last train to Bonn leaving him no time to prepare himself neither for the interview nor for the events that take place in the city. He takes some books with him, stuffs his rucksack with a lot of chocolate bars and gets a taxi. In the train he is not able to read anything, because he needs to get some sleep in order to look good at the interview.
As nervous as he is, he is in the underground and has no idea where to go. Marcus only has a piece of paper in his hand with the university address written on it. He realizes he is missing the number of the street. The paper was torn apart as he slipped while getting off the train. Time is running out and he is afraid he is not going to make it in time. The train already had a delay, because of the heavy snow that has caused some problems on the railway. Marcus is desperate. But he is not the type of person that would give up whenever problems occur. He is determined to find a way to get to the meeting in time and get hold of some information about the places he could be celebrating his new job in. He notices the interactive display and the people standing in front of it. He has heard about the “CityWindow” project from people talking in his café in Hamburg and he knows that it has been a success. Marcus has been saved at the last minute. With the help of his mobile phone, he is able to get directions about the university, get a map of the city and learn about current events in no time. He does not need any special software knowledge; he only needs to be familiar with his mobile phone and follow the instructions shown on the display. He is happy to find out hat his favorite band “Fettes Brot” has a concert that evening as he sees the advertisement on the display. With a smile on his face, he hurries up to get his train…
