A Downhills production of the Gilbert & Sullivan operetta "HMS Pinafore" was staged at the Tottenham Polytechnic on Sunday, 14th April 1929. These photos of members of the cast, taken after the performance, were sent by Jim Powrie and come from a photo album owned by his father David W. Powrie (1911-1988). Here's David on the left.
