Here are some pictures from my time in Vietnam (September 1970 - February 1972). The originals of the color photos are 35mm slides. I have had a few made into prints which I then scanned to make these digital images. The black and white photos were shot on negative film and made into prints. There was a photo lab at the Long Binh Army base where I could process my own film and make prints.

Here is a woman and her child who were sitting on the street in Saigon. She didn't speak much English and about all we understood was that she was a widow.

Here is a portion of Saigon, seen from the air. This was taken on a helicopter flight back to Long Binh.

Even in the Mekong Delta, which is basically flat, there are some mountains. .
This is a view of GI's watching the Bob Hope Christmas show in December 1970 at the Long Binh army base.
This is an outpost of the ARVN (Army of the Republic of Vietnam) between Long Binh and Bien Hoa where there was a large Air Force Base. The antenna, an RC-292, is still in wide use.
This is a picture of me in front of the U.S. Embassy in Saigon.
