I have been a Johnny Winter fan since 1971. The first time I heard Johnny's passionate guitar playing and growling vocals, I was totally blown away. At that very moment, I knew that John Dawson Winter 111 was something special. Johnny is special because he is one of a kind. He is one of a kind because he has no equal.    I love most of the classic bands from the late 60's and early 70's: The Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendrix, Rick Derringer, Mountain, Cream, Led Zeppelin, etc. And I love most of the great blues men of our time: Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, B.B. King, Freddy King, etc. But to me, Johnny Winter stands alone at the summit. Whether it's a dose of high-energy rock & roll or a little back-in-the-alley blues music, no one is better. I have listened to each of Johnny's albums a million times(OK, two million). And as unbelievable as he is in the studio, he is even more spectacular in concert. I'm sure those of you who have witnessed a Johnny Winter concert performance, know exactly what I am talking about. To this day, I still find myself in awe of the incredible magic that flows from his guitar. He is truely amazing!    Johnny has brought so much joy into my life during the past 29 years. We are all very blessed to have lived during his lifetime. Johnny has spent his entire life playing the music he loves. And I will spend the rest of my life listening to his music! This site is just a small tribute to the best there ever was. I hope you enjoy your visit.
