Guide to National Wildlife Refuges
By State
There has always been, inherent in Native beliefs, a profound respect, a deep reverence,  and awe of all that is natural. Believing that everything is created by, and therefore, holds within it's very being, a part of the Spirit of the All That Is. Always before, every thought centered around that belief, every waking moment, even arising at the beginning of each day was a reminder that ALL things belonged to the One Above and were not for man's pleasure to destroy or alter, for Creator had placed each one here to complete the Web of Life. Without replenishment and care of even one. . .ALL would suffer. Then it was easy. The only things taken were things that met survival needs, after a prayer, and with the blessings of the plants or animal involved. Today that is no longer true. Today nature disappears, not by one plant here or one animal there, but by species and by acreage. Search your heart, do the old beliefs still ring true? Then check out the sites below.
