unfortunately.   Jen and I have for the most part been able to be pretty civil over the last year during our separation, but as we both realize that it is pretty much over, it appears the obligatory battle is about to commence. 

I had really hoped to be able to avoid all this, I really wanted it to just be a recognition that we want very different things out of life and that our lives have taken very different paths since we first met, but that is apparently not the way it will be.

It is unfortunate.  It's really not what I want.  But at the same time I am not going to just roll over and let her kick and bludgeon me just because I don't want to fight.  

I'm just not that kind of person.
