Education and Accomplishments:

In June 2001 I graduated with a bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering from MIT Pune, India. I pursued a petroleum engineering degree because for my fascination towards this vast resource, but during the entire course I was inclined not only to the technical aspect of this field but the management of this vast resource and in management marketing. I am currently pursing a MS in marketing course at Georgia State University. I have worked in the marketing department of a manufacturing firm for automobile components way back in India and also have experience in sales where I used to sell various products to customers based in the US.I am an inter college basketball, football and badminton player and have also won a silver medal in badminton at the college level. I have actively participated in debates in school and college and was also elected the Vice-head boy in college.

How am I using my capabilities to create value?

In today’s world a techno-commercial kind of perspective is very important. My basic engineering degree made me develop keen analytical and quantitative skills. I believe to move ahead in the future one has to synchronize technical aspects with proper business models. My current degree in marketing would help me gain the desired business acumen. I strongly believe that this would make me more component and marketable in the real business world.

Vision 5 years down the line.

I am interested in specializing in the field of product management and new product development. I would definitely want to see myself move up the hierarchy and somewhere towards accomplishing my goal as a Product manager. I believe that my skills in the technical as well as in the management field, which I would acquire from my present course, would help me to accomplish my goal.

Why should anybody care?

By engaging in continuous education I hope to become a valuable asset to my employer. This value will allow me the flexibility to take on business challenges and help me to become a well-rounded individual and an asset to society. Staying challenged competitive and ethical would continue to create value not only for myself, but also for my employer, family and society.
