The data showed that Leyte, the mother province of Biliran, had a population of 388,922 coming from 51 towns. The territory covered by the present Biliran Province had seven towns and a total population of 21,661 coming from seven poblacions and 48 barrios. At that time, the present town of Kawayan was the biggest barrio of Almeria, itself with a bigger population than the poblacion. Below is the census breakdown by town and poblacion/barrio.
