This publication provides news and information about the Leyte-Samar Region to local expatriates in other parts of the world, people whose dollar remittances probably exceed the national government money that filters to the region. We owe them this public service, something that their folks back home do not often provide.

Biliran Province has been a hospitable distant fielding site of SHS students, particularly for the community clerkships or internships of its medical students. As a counter-gesture, the webmaster, a native of Biliran, maintains this website for the province.
