The story starts when Gon, a young boy from Whale island decides to try out for becoming a professional hunter. As the hunter test was being conducted, he meets new friends including Killua of the famous Zordic Family, Leo, an aspiring doctor, and Kurapica, the sole survivor of the Kuruta Tribe. Without surprise, all of them passed the hunter exams and became hunters in their own ways. They soon decide to part ways for a while in order to fulfill their own destinies. Gon and Killua go on an adventure, Kurapica, also goes on an adventure in search of the killers who wiped out his tribe and seek revenge. and leo, decides to continue his studies for becoming a doctor. But as fate would have it, they soon meet up again in a series of unpredictable events, and together they continue and journey together.
