and hence, I pen my opinions down about my friend Milu Tresa Cherian in this interactive forum of hers. I have known her for the past three and a half years and I think it is long enough a period to have valid views about Milu, whom I know as a person, student and more than everything, a friend.
As a person

This explains her as a person more than what I would try to put in words. She’s always been polite to everyone. She’s optimistic and positive in her thoughts. Looking at brighter side of everything she encounters, is really an asset. She preaches this to others and follows it herself (which is substantial). She helps everybody, yet she is not an altruist. She makes sure she helps herself before she helps others, yet she cannot be named a narcissist.
Unconditionally, it is an understatement if I merely state that Milu is a nice person.
As a student
As marked from the main page of this webpage, most of her schooling was in kerala. In the semester system followed here, right from the first semester through the sixth, she’s been showing a constant improvement in her academic performance. As the case would be, due to a change in environment she had been living till her inception into this college, she had to face many practical problems with her accommodation in the hostel. She always believed in the saying
"When the going gets tough, the tough get going"
And she had always been tough in toughest of times. She calls herself obdurate. She’s rather determined and self-disciplined. She would do things at her own pace, but I’m sure she would finish everything in time. Personally, I’m a guy crazy about computers in general and programming in particular. Though she kept herself aloof from computers right from the beginning, I am glad that she could score better than I did, in subjects like Bioinformatics in the 6th semester and Computer Practice II in her 2nd semester. Her endless urge to fair well in all her ventures, had spawned in her an interest towards such subjects. Nevertheless, her effort had paid her rich dividends in the form of marvelous grades in those subjects. If this is the case with such subjects, I don’t think I need to broach that she is remarkably perspicacious when it comes to subjects she is impressed by.
Beyond question, given a chance, she would indeed prove her mettle in all her undertakings.
As a friend

This happened to be true in my case. Making friends is more an art than a gift. But, being a friend is predominantly ruled by the attitude of the person in question. Her attitude is reflected by the spread of her friends around the globe. I wish I had met her earlier. Perhaps, I don’t remember even vaguely about our introduction. I wonder if there was one, though! Rather, she doesn’t need an introduction to make friends. You should see the way she had mingled with her lab mates in the National Center for Biological Sciences, during her two month stay between Apr, 2004 and Jun, 2004.
She is sentimental. Yet she never lets this sentiment take over her sensibility. She readily extends her soothing palm to pat her friend’s back who’s on an emotional roller-coaster. Not only that, she also makes sure that she has one such hand to her rescue if at all she spots herself in such situations.
But, of course, she is naughty. Life would be really boring if nobody is there to make playful fun of us. Infact, as long as Milu is around, you don't have to worry about that. She'll care proper care of that. It is no exaggeration when I say that she can win almost everybody in such playful conversations.
Conclusively, I would gladly profess that Milu is an amicable, fun-loving, sensible girl, whose presence would make ones milieu pleasing.
