Senator Heart
1988 Tennessee Walker
TWHBEA # 884686
Heart came to live with us Thanksgiving weekend, to be a friend for Ally as Teza had passed away. He has shown clearly for all to see that he loves people and thrives on being fussed over. Heart is a rather sensitive boy, but has shown a great aptitude for learning and a willingness to try. Very good under saddle when he first came but not knowing much about legs, circles, or ground poles, he has come a very long way in a relatively short amount of time and has impressed me with how he continues to improve.
Never having ridden a gaited horse before Heart, there is little I can comment on regarding his gaits. In the paddock, he will walk, trot, run-walk, sometimes pace, and canter. Under saddle he does all of these gaits except trot.

As I mentioned, Heart has come a long way in being calm and responsive on the ground as well as under saddle. He is a reactive horse, though, and can move quickly when least expected. He will be offered for sale only to a home that will continue to work with him as I have, teaching him to not panic with new things, and to be a calm, responsive mount; where he can be treasured partner.
