1. Length is 8 feet from center of rear axle to furthest point forward.
2. Width should not exceed 6 feet.
3. Engine size: 4 cylinder (automotive types only) maximum 3000cc including clean up.
4. Maximum tire size: 31-15.50-15
5. Two weight classes - 1400 lbs and 1500 lbs maximum. Total weight includes; tractor, driver, fuel and any added weights.
6. If a contestant is required after pulling, a 1% variance of weight allowed.
7. Hitch is to be no less than 1/2" thick. If bolted on (bolts at least 2). Must be a minimum size of 3/8" (grade 5 or better).
8. Hole size of hitch is 2-1/2". Must have 1/2" steel from edge of hole to end of hitch.
9. Hooking point of hitch must be a minimum of 6" from center of rear axle.
10. Hitch height is maximum of 13" at time of pull. Hitch has to be stationary.
11. Hitch has to have 3/8" cable around back of hitch and around front of rear end with 2 clamps on each splice or cable can hook around axle tubes with 2 clamps on each.
12. All tractors must have backup lights.
13. All tractors must have a neutral start switch or a clutch safety start switch.
14. All tractors must have a kill switch centered above the hitch with minimum 1" metal ring.
15. All chains must be sheilded 180 degrees on top with a minimum 1/8" steel.
16. All u-joints, chains and couplings must be shielded with minimum 1/8" steel.
17. All bell housing must be covered with 1/4" steel 180 degrees minimum.
18. Automatic transmissions will have a starter ring cover, a minimum of 180 degrees. Can be 1/8" steel or an 1-1/4" aluminum. A minimum of 1-1/2" wide. Must be securely fastened to frame or engine.
19. All automatic transmissions must be covered with a NHRA approved blanket.
20. All rubber mounted or cast iron harmonic balancers must be sheilded with 1/4" steel.
21. Engines must be covered from top of pan to bottom of heads and the length of the engine with 16" gauge steel or aluminum.
22. Exhaust pipes must extend no less than 12" above the bend. They can layout no more than 10 degress and lay back no more than 30 degrees.
23. All belts must be covered.
24. All throttles must pull forward and return to idle. No hydraulic or air throttles.
25. All tractors must have two return springs on throttle.
26. All tractors must have brakes that work.
27. Back tires must have fenders that are a minimum of 4" sides and a minimum of 18" long.
28. All tractors must have wheelie bars. They should measure no more than 6" above the ground and must be able to support the weight of the tractor.
