His mutant ability is the combination of all abilitys of the worlds reptiles. Strength of constriction, stealth of chamilian, acid of the snake, speed of the lizard, speeded regeneration.
Reptile was born within the confines of the processing plant, his mutant abilities were the result of an injection of lizard DNA mixed with the genetic X knome in the human DNA strand that causes mutants. The result, was a mutant with the abilities of all the worlds reptiles. As well as the apperance of one.
When he was 3 years old, he watched as Sinister destroyed his family. Only for the simple fact that they could produce any more mutants. He still has a brother and sister within the processing plant. When he reached the age of 15 Sinister began to use him as a killer. Any time someone stopped producing mutants, they and the child were killed by Reptiles hand. Reptile was appauled by this.
After Shyr's little inncodent, Sinister tightened his security. And released his mutants as he did every year when they became of age. Reptile was released, looking for a way to get revenge for what Sinister did to him, he encountered a mutant named Victor Creed. Sabertooth and Reptile then went into hiding. Setting up a base of opperations near Sinisters plant, but not so close to be detected.
It wasn't long before they found other mutants who wanted to make the world a better place as well. They planned an attack on the plant, to infiltrate and kill Sinister. They did not know that Apocalypse would appear, nore did they know that Blink would do what she did. Reptile was puzzled, by why Sinister did not intervene, why Sinister let them escape afterwards. Reptile was worried why was Sinister allowing them to live after the death of Sinisters Master. A thought that haunts Reptile to this day.
